This course is  intended to help the officer improve his or her qualification scores.   This is done through the use of a series of drills which concentrate on  the fundamentals of handgun shooting:  sight alignment, sight picture,  and trigger control.  These drills will show the student what they are  doing wrong, as well as build a feeling of confidence in the shooter's abilities, and the gun's.

Can you run  your gun with a broken/shot arm, hand, or leg?  Can you reload your pistol with one hand?  What about your carbine or shotgun?  Can you engage accurately with one hand in positions of disadvantage?  How do  you treat a sucking chest wound or a severely wounded appendage?  Can  you secure and evacuate your injured partner?  This course is designed to allow the officer to practice all these things under safe and regulated conditions until the techniques taught become second nature.
